Southeastern Guide Dogs' Sarasota location is in the heart of downtown near the intersection of Main Street and Orange Avenue. This location serves as a city base for harness training our dogs, and for trainers working with students in a more urban environment. It also serves as a center for community outreach offering workshops, seminars, and presentations touching on everything from puppy health and wellness to pet estate planning. The Center houses an amazing gift shop/pet boutique full of unique items. All proceeds support Southeastern Guide Dogs' mission.

Sighted Guide Seminar

Certified guide dog trainerand experienced Orientation & Mobility instructor Raymond Hurley will lead this interactive seminar to give a basic understanding of polite ways to interact with and provide assistance (when asked) to the visually impaired.

Canine CPR and First Aid Seminar: A must class for emergencies!

Hands-on class in Canine First Aid including CPR, rescue breathing, choking management, bleeding, Heimlich Maneuver and more for dogs. Taught by a certified Canine First Aid instructor. Course includes manual.

Obedience Demonstration and Puppy Love

Come watch an Obedience Demonstration from one of our puppy raiser groups, learn all about the joys of puppy raising and stick around to hug these future guide dogs!
Southeastern Guide Dogs Campus Tour

The tour begins at the downtown Sarasota location where you will board a bus along with your guide to travel to Southeastern Guide Dogs' campus in Palmetto. Along the way, the guide will provide you with information about Southeastern's programs. Upon arrival you will have a guided tour of the 23 acre campus including interaction time with puppies and guides-in-training. You will then return to our Sarasota location and enjoy a question and answer session along the way. Reservations required 941-953-2892.

Guided Tours for Private Groups
Tours may be arranged for private groups up to eleven people. Will pick up and deliver back to your location in downtown Sarasota.

Discover a Bow Wow Birthday Party!
A birthday party for your best friend. The birthday dog and 4 of his/her friends plus their parents (two legged) will celebrate in the comfort and security of our very dog friendly facility. Southeastern Guide Dogs provides lots of room to play, balloons for everyone, a gift registry at our dog boutique, treats and party favors for the canine guests, fresh water for the dogs, pin the tail on the cat, an apple bob and a white elephant gift exchange.
