Volunteer Opportunities

Puppy Nursery volunteers are specially chosen and trained to work with newborns and breeder mothers. They provide love and attention to puppies age 10 days to six weeks. Staff approval and training required.
Puppy raiser families foster our pups from age nine weeks to approximately 14 to 20 months of age. The families provide a loving home environment. They teach the dog house manners, basic obedience, and also socialize the dog. The professionals in our Puppy Department as well as volunteer area coordinators provide training and support for the foster families. Application required.
A breeder host family opens their home to a dog in our Breeding Program. The dog lives with the family as a much-loved pet. The family ensures the dog’s availability for breeding “responsibilities” when the time is right. A host family may take the dog to appearances at fundraising and public relations functions. Southeastern pays for veterinary medical care. Application required.
Our administrative staff often needs help with mass mailings, data entry, filing, answering of phones and helping customers in our Gift Shop.
Southeastern hosts several major fund-raising events throughout the year. Volunteers are needed for many duties. This is a fun opportunity to get your whole family or service group involved.
The list goes on and on. If you want to get involved or if you have a special talent, we welcome your help.
