Adult Volunteer Opportunities
Our volunteers have something to smile about.
At Southeastern Guide Dogs, we’re thankful for an army of volunteers who make it possible for us to better serve our students and graduates. With their help, we can continue offering a lifeline of freedom and independence that otherwise wouldn’t be possible for our students — at no charge.
Our Volunteers assist staff all over the organization, from working with the puppies and dogs or helping our administrative staff in a wide variety of positions at our main campus in Palmetto to assisting customers in our St. Petersburg Gift Shop. Our volunteers are as different as can be in personalities, backgrounds, and talents, yet they all have something in common: generous hearts. If you’d like to join our family, we have plenty to do!
We offer opportunities to learn and grow so all of our volunteers become familiar with our facility and staff, receive world-class training, and have the opportunity to explore many different volunteer roles within the organization.
We are currently recruiting volunteers for our Palmetto Campus, St. Petersburg Outreach Center & Dog Boutique, and for our 2015 Walkathons. Please click here to find out where your help is most needed!
If you are under 18, please check out our Youth Volunteer Opportunities to learn more about the ways you can help the dogs and puppies!
Are you a group of adults looking for an opportunity to volunteer together? We can use your help!
If your group doesn’t mind a little dust and dirt and are willing to do some heavy lifting and organizing, we have opportunities for them to help both indoors and outside! For more information and project dates please contact Fran Levinson at Frances.Levinson@guidedogs.org
