CFO of the Year Winner, Gloria Manzenberger

Gloria Manzenberger sits on a bench holding her glass 2017 Tampa Bay Business Journal’s CFO of the Year award.
When our Vice President of Finance and Risk Management, Gloria Manzenberger, was nominated for the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s CFO of the Year in the nonprofit category, she blushed from the top of her head on down. But no one deserves this honor more, and we are thrilled that she won this coveted award.
On paper, Gloria shines. Squeaky clean audits, financial oversight during major capital campaigns for five new facilities, strategic cost-savings initiatives, economies of scale, centralized purchasing, and overall fiscally sound leadership—her resume goes on and on. But when you add a heart of gold to the mix, well, that’s a winning combination.
In addition to working tirelessly as a staff member, Gloria and her finance team have repeatedly volunteered for our largest fundraiser of the year, our Walkathons. She and her team have personally raised enough funds to sponsor and name four puppies: Cash, Penny, Count, and Ledger.
Another little-known fact about Gloria? Her tenacity! Gloria achieved her career goals as a non-traditional student, returning to college later in life to pursue her accounting degree. While raising a family and working full time, Gloria took classes part time until she reached her goals. And we’re so glad she did. Congratulations, Gloria!
