Date: December 14th
Time: 9:30-11:00 am
Place: Student Center Dining Hall
Description:
Please join us for a special Continuing Education Lecture in our Dining Hall on August 17th. Our guest speaker, Jennifer Bryan, Director of Philanthropy, will be sharing all about our popular Walkathon events.
Held each spring, our Walkathons are fun-filled, community-driven events that raise awareness and support for Southeastern Guide Dogs. These events are not only great for human participants, but they’re also dog-friendly! That’s right, you can bring your furry friend along to join in on the fun. There will be dog-friendly activities where your four-legged companion can participate in the event. And with all proceeds going towards supporting our important mission of providing guide dogs to individuals who are blind or visually impaired, you can feel good about giving back while having a great time.
During this Continuing Education Lecture, you’ll have the chance to learn more about what goes into planning and hosting a Walkathon, and how you can get involved in supporting this important fundraiser. You’ll also have the opportunity to ask questions and get ideas on how you can help make a difference in the lives of our guide dogs and the individuals they serve.
As always, you’re welcome to bring a guest to join in on the learning. Just remember to select two tickets at checkout if you’d like to bring a friend along. Don’t miss out on this chance to learn more about our Walkathons and how you can get involved in supporting Southeastern Guide Dogs.
