April at Southeastern Guide Dogs brought lots of excitement! As we prepared for National Walkathon Day, local media outlets like FOX 13 Tampa Bay, Suncoast View, and 105.9 Sunny FM helped spread the word of the event. Additionally, Doctors Hospital of Sarasota introduced a new four-legged employee named Buffy. Southeastern Guide Dogs trained Buffy to detect COVID-19, and in her role at the hospital, she screens visitors to make sure they are COVID-free!

To top it off, Forbes interviewed CEO Titus Herman, Dog O Dog featured graduate Katie McCoy for International Guide Dog Day, and Veterans Corner Radio spoke to Service Dog Trainer Lauren Davis to learn about our veteran services.
