Southeastern Guide Dogs’ graduates were in the spotlight this month! Guide dog graduates Cheri Sytsma and Brooklyn Shannon both shared their stories with local newspapers. Guide Dog Helps Englewood Woman with New Independence
On her birthday, Cheri Sytsma received a very special gift–a yellow Lab named Hero. Hero is Cheri’s new guide dog, who will provide her with the life-transforming gifts of freedom and adventure. Read their story here.
Gray, Tenn. Woman Receives Guide Dog
Two year ago, Brooklyn Shannon found out she was losing her vision. To use her words, “If you’re going to go blind, you might as well do it with a cute, fluffy guide dog, right?” And that she is! Brooklyn was paired with Lolita, a goldador helping to restore her confidence and independence. Read the article here.
