We Can’t Smile Without You

Happy World Smile Day!

At Southeastern Guide Dogs, the extraordinary partnerships between people and dogs bring smiles to people with vision loss and veterans with PTSD and other disabilities. And something else that brings smiles? All of Southeastern Guide Dogs’ services—which include selective breeding and expert dog training; comprehensive on-campus student instruction; and lifetime graduate follow-up—are provided at no cost to the recipients.

Your support spreads the goodwill and cheer that Harvey Ball, the artist who first created the original smiley face, intended. Here are just some of the ways that you can make someone smile as part of the Southeastern Guide Dogs mission:

Raise a puppy

Host a breeder dog

A yellow Labrador mom smiles as she nurses 8 puppies.

Volunteer on campus

A woman sits on a sidewalk and laughs as a black Labrador licks her face.

Join a Walkathon

Two men and a woman walk together with three dogs. The walkers all smile as they pass the photographer.

Donate and change a life

A man smiles and hugs his guide dog. The man is sitting on brick steps and the yellow Labrador is sitting between his feet.

And simply share our mission with others!

A veteran smiles as his service dog licks his face. The man is sitting in a chair and a yellow Labrador has his front legs on the man's legs.

Get involved today and share the smiles!
